Serum ferritin	Target serum ferritin: 500 - 1000 mg/ml	Serum ferritin levels should be assessed regularly (e.g, every 3 months)
Liver iron concentration (LIC)	LIC > 5 mg/g dry weight	Liver iron should be assessed every 6-12 months depending on iron overload severity.
